Goodbyes

We had a wonderful time with those who were able to join us on March 9.    This is a picture of a picture, so not such good quality, I know you thought I was trying to hide the identity of those present.  Not!  Families of three of my siblings were represented here.  Also our daughter and her family.  We have experienced such an outpouring of love and thoughtfulness.  We are so grateful for all of you who we count such great family members and friends.  Thank you for your support!  We love you!

Mission to Burundi

Here we go again!!!

Well I nearly passed out when we read the mission call.  Democratic Republic of the Congo Lubumbashi Mission with the specific assignment to the Burundi  Country Welfare office.  We later learned that this office consists of a computer and printer in the apartment of the one Sr. Couple who reside in Bujumbura.  

We have read blogs of other missionaries who have served there, met and talked with others who were there, so it is becoming more real to me.
